People are looking at food differently. I don’t know if it is the economy or what. But, old ideas about food are coming back into fashion. Who would have guessed that butchers could be rock stars: Avedano’s Holly, Dario Cecchini? There is an interest in the ways we use to do things: growing a garden, making pickles, local products. Evidence in Austin? Charcuterie. I just met Lawrence and Lee Ann Kocurek at the new HOPE Farmers’ Market.
